Job summary

Exelon is seeking a detail‑oriented accounting professional to manage monthly closes, prepare financial statements, and support SOX controls. The role works with cross‑functional teams to ensure accuracy and timeliness of reporting, while contributing to audits and process improvements.

Ideal candidates have 2–4 years of accounting experience, a Bachelor's in Accounting (or equivalent), and strong analytical skills. MBA/CPA are preferred. This role may involve overtime and occasional travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent required.
• 2-4 years of related experience.
• Understanding of FASB/GAAP and SOX compliance.
• Ability to document issues in work papers and memos.
• Strong analytical skills and data judgment.
• Experience using technology to improve processes.
• Effective teambuilding and leadership skills.
• Demonstrated project management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Close monthly and quarterly financial statements accurately and timely.
• Prepare reports and analyses for internal and external reporting; analyze variances.
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners; present operating results to leadership.
• Support audits and regulatory processes with internal and external parties.
• Identify process improvements and participate in related special projects.
