Exelon is seeking an accounting professional to manage monthly close, ensure SOX compliance, and produce timely financial statements. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, prepare internal and external reports, and support audits and regulatory activities.

The role emphasizes process improvements and accurate financial analysis, supporting the business and customers across Exelon’s energy operations in a dynamic corporate environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent.
• 2–4 years of related experience.
• Understanding of GAAP, FASB, and SOX compliance.
• Ability to document issues in work papers and memos.
• Strong analytical skills and judgment.
• Experience using technology to improve processes.
• Professionalism and teamwork; project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Monthly and quarterly close, ensuring accurate, timely recording and SOX control effectiveness.
• Prepare monthly/quarterly reports; analyze variances and trends; reconcile accounts.
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners; present results to leadership.
• Support audits and regulatory processes with internal/external stakeholders.
• Drive process improvements and automation projects in accounting.
