Job summary

Exelon Corporation is seeking an experienced accounting professional to perform a range of accounting assignments, record/ report financial transactions, and ensure SOX controls are in place. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to support forecasting and planning and produce accurate financial statements.

The role emphasizes process improvements, detailed month-end close, and cross-department coordination.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent required.
• 2–4 years of related experience.
• Solid understanding of accounting theory, GAAP and SOX.
• Ability to document issues in work papers, memos and disclosures.
• Strong analytical and judgment skills; proficiency with technology to improve processes.

Responsibilities

• Perform monthly and quarterly close with accurate financial statements.
• Prepare internal/external reports and variance analyses.
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners on forecasting and planning.
• Support audits and regulatory data requests.
• Lead process-improvement projects and leverage technology to enhance efficiency.
