Job summary

KBW Financial Staffing & Recruiting is seeking a Staff Accountant in Scarborough, Maine to support month-end close, financial reporting, budgeting and other accounting activities while collaborating with the broader finance and operations teams.

The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in general accounting principles, a Bachelor's degree, and experience with Excel; NetSuite experience is a plus. This on-site position offers a starting salary with flexibility based on experience.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Support month-end close, including accruals, balance sheet reconciliations, inventory adjustments, and revenue entries.
• Prepare financial statements and related accounting reports.
• Assist with annual budgets and financial projections.
• Research and resolve discrepancies to ensure accurate financial records.
• Support internal audits and special accounting projects.
• Partner with accounting and operations teams on reporting and process improvements.
