Job summary

Care Partners At Home is seeking a Staff Accountant to manage financial records, reconcile accounts, and support payroll and reporting. The role emphasizes accuracy, GAAP adherence, and collaboration with Billing and audit teams.

You will work in a fast-paced home-care environment, handling AP/AR, payroll, and monthly closings while ensuring compliance and confidentiality. A CPA-candidate or CPA is preferred along with healthcare accounting experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA, CPA candidate, or Certified Bookkeeper (CB) certification preferred.
• 2–4+ years of progressive accounting or bookkeeping experience.
• Healthcare or home care accounting experience strongly preferred.
• Experience managing full-cycle Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and payroll.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks Online (QBO) required.
• Experience with Paycor, AlayaCare, or similar payroll and healthcare software preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, reports, and account reconciliations.
• Manage full-cycle Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes.
• Reconcile payroll, bank transactions, and financial data in QuickBooks Online (QBO).
• Process invoices, vendor payments, and support payroll administration.
• Reconcile AR data from AlayaCare and ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Partner with the Billing team to verify and post client payments accurately.
• Generate and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Prepare tax-related documentation and support compliance with accounting regulations.
• Perform internal audits, identify discrepancies, and recommend process improvements.
• Support and maintain accounting system integrations, including Paycor, AlayaCare, and QuickBooks Online.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of financial and payroll information.
• Support special projects and perform other accounting duties as assigned.
