Job summary

DEPLOY's client in Jackson, MS seeks a Staff Accountant to support the accounting management team with journal entries, financial systems, and month-end close processes in an in-office role. The position requires a Bachelor's in Accounting and 1–2 years of general ledger experience, with strong GAAP knowledge and attention to detail.

You will work with Microsoft Dynamics SL, FYISoft, and Altec DocLink, preparing financial statements and assisting with tax schedules, audits, and regulatory

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field with accounting experience.
• 1–2 years of general ledger accounting experience required.
• Proficient in Excel and familiar with GAAP.

Responsibilities

• Prepare general ledgers in Microsoft Dynamics SL and assist in billing.
• Prepare financial statements using FYISoft.
• Reconcile monthly balance sheets and perform analyses.
• Assist with tax return schedules and depreciation where applicable.
• Prepare cash flow supporting schedules and regulatory filings.
• Support external auditors and month-end close activities.
