DEPLOY has been retained by a leading Mississippi telecommunications company to staff a Staff Accountant in Jackson, MS. The role covers day-to-day accounting, journal entries, and financial reporting, with emphasis on accuracy and timely delivery.

The position requires a Bachelor's in Accounting or related field and 1–2 years of general ledger experience, plus strong Excel skills. In-office role with collaboration across the finance team and external auditors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field with accounting experience.
• 1–2 years of general ledger accounting experience preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and MS Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Prepare general ledgers in Microsoft Dynamics SL and code accounts payable.
• Prepare financial statements and monthly analyses; reconcile balance sheets.
• Assist in tax return filings and depreciation schedules.
• Support month-end close, revenue/expense recognition, and GAAP compliance.
• Coordinate with auditors and maintain regulatory reporting.
