Job summary

Anticimex Carolinas is hiring a Staff Accountant to join our growing Finance team. This role maintains the general ledger, supports financial reporting, and ensures timely month-end and year-end close activities.

The ideal candidate brings strong accounting knowledge, proactive problem solving, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while upholding accuracy and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting is required.
• 1–3 years of corporate accounting experience.
• Experience with monthly close in a mid-sized or large corporate environment.
• Working knowledge of GAAP and accrual accounting principles.
• Intermediate Excel skills including PivotTables and VLOOKUPs.
• Ability to manage priorities and maintain accuracy.
• Strong written and verbal communication; confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Support month-end and year-end close activities.
• Prepare and post general ledger journal entries for various accounts.
• Record and reconcile daily cash activity.
• Ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial statements.
• Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
• Manage fixed asset accounting (additions, disposals, depreciation).
• Collaborate with AP for correct expense coding.
• Work with AR to ensure proper posting of customer payments.
• Assist with ad hoc reporting and special projects.
• Develop and document accounting procedures; provide backup support.
