Job summary

Anticimex Carolinas seeks a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our growing Finance team. This role maintains the general ledger, supports financial reporting, and ensures timely month-end and year-end close activities.

The ideal candidate is a proactive problem solver with strong accounting knowledge, GAAP experience, and excellent organizational skills who thrives in a fast-paced environment and seeks ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
• Working knowledge of GAAP and accrual-based accounting principles
• Intermediate Excel skills (PivotTables, VLOOKUP)
• Ability to manage priorities in a dynamic environment
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

• Support month-end and year-end close activities.
• Prepare and post general ledger journal entries (cash, accruals, prepaid expenses, intercompany, bad debt reserves).
• Record and reconcile daily cash activity.
• Ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial statements and reporting.
• Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
• Manage fixed asset accounting (additions, disposals, depreciation).
• Collaborate with Accounts Payable for expense coding.
• Work with Accounts Receivable to reconcile payments with cash activity.
• Assist with ad hoc reporting, analysis, and projects.
• Develop and document accounting procedures and best practices.
• Provide backup support for various accounting functions.
