Anticimex Carolinas is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our growing Finance team. This role maintains the general ledger, supports financial reporting, and ensures the accuracy and timeliness of month-end and year-end close activities.

The ideal candidate is a proactive problem solver with strong accounting knowledge, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field required.
• Working knowledge of GAAP and accrual-based accounting principles.
• Intermediate Excel skills with PivotTables and VLOOKUPs.
• Ability to manage priorities and adapt to changing business needs.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Self-motivated with ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.

Responsibilities

• Support month-end and year-end close activities.
• Prepare and post general ledger journal entries including cash, accruals, and intercompany transactions.
• Record and reconcile daily cash activity.
• Ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial statements and reporting.
• Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
• Manage fixed asset accounting including additions, disposals, and depreciation.
• Collaborate with Accounts Payable for accurate expense coding.
• Work with Accounts Receivable to ensure proper posting of payments.
• Assist with ad hoc reporting, analysis, and special projects.
• Document accounting procedures and best practices.
• Provide backup for various accounting functions as needed.
• Contribute to department goals while handling multiple priorities.
