PJ Dick-Trumbull-Lindy Group in Pittsburgh, PA is seeking a Staff Accountant to join our fast-paced accounting team at our North Shore headquarters. This role offers diversity, responsibility, and growth within a stable, well-respected organization.

You will support core accounting and financial reporting functions, with duties ranging from month-end close to ad-hoc reports. A Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance and at least two years of experience are required; CPA is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business field.
• Minimum 2 years of accounting experience.
• CPA preferred (or actively pursuing).
• Strong understanding of federal, state, and local financial reporting requirements, including pension and profit-sharing plans.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to thrive in a team-oriented, deadline-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Developing a strong working knowledge of company accounting systems and processes.
• Preparing and maintaining accounting process documentation, while identifying opportunities for improvement.
• Assisting with overhead budgets and budget-to-actual analysis.
• Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual closing workpapers, financial statements, and related schedules/filings.
• Supporting accounting operations related to cash, accounts receivable, job costing, and accounts payable.
• Preparing special reports and assisting with ad-hoc projects as needed.
• Performing additional assignments as directed by the Tax Director and Controllers.
