Job summary

DELSEY Paris in Hanover, Maryland is seeking a Staff Accountant to join our expanding team. Reporting to the Accounting Manager, the role supports monthly close, journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting in a fast-paced consumer goods environment.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of accounting experience, a Bachelor's degree in accounting, advanced Excel skills, and strong analytical abilities.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience in consumer goods or retail sectors.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
• Advanced Excel skills and data analytics experience are a plus.
• Extensive experience in financial reporting and management reporting.
• Experience with enterprise ERP software, MS Business Central / GP preferred.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly financial statements and ad hoc financial reports with accuracy and timeliness.
• Support monthly close, reconciliations, and posting journal entries.
• Conduct variance analysis and investigate discrepancies with management.
• Assess systems and procedures for internal controls and efficiency improvements.
• Provide accounting support to management on expenses and policies.
• Prepare audit schedules and assist during audits.
• Assist with tax filings and vendor/customer master data maintenance.
• Record payroll and benefit expenses, including 401(k) contributions.
• Reconcile bank accounts and cash activity monthly.
• Ensure US GAAP compliance and obtain accurate financial reporting.
