Job summary

Ledgent-Finance- is seeking a motivated Accountant to join our Baltimore team. You will support daily accounting operations, maintain financial records, prepare reports, and assist with month-end close activities. This role offers growth opportunities in a dynamic environment.

The position requires 2+ years of accounting experience, a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, and proficiency with Excel and ERP software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 2+ years of accounting experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries.
• Reconcile bank accounts, general ledger accounts, and balance sheet accounts.
• Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
• Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation.
• Prepare financial reports and variance analyses.
• Process and review accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
• Monitor cash flow and assist with account reconciliations.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
• Assist with audits and tax preparation.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Analyze financial data and identify trends or discrepancies.
• Collaborate with internal departments to resolve accounting issues and improve processes.
