McClintock & Associates, a Pittsburgh-based public accounting firm, seeks a Staff Accountant to grow into greater audit responsibilities across engagement planning through completion. You’ll work with Supervisors, Managers, and clients to perform procedures, draft statements, and deliver high-quality work in a collaborative, growth‑minded team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field required.
• 1–3 years of audit experience within public accounting required.
• CPA candidate or progress toward CPA licensure preferred.
• Working knowledge of GAAP and auditing principles.
• Experience performing audit procedures and preparing clear, well-supported workpapers.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills with clients.

Responsibilities

• Perform audit testing and analytical procedures for assigned areas.
• Assist in drafting financial statements, footnotes, disclosures, and other engagement deliverables.
• Gather, organize, and analyze client information needed to complete audit and financial reporting procedures.
• Prepare clear, accurate, and well-supported audit workpapers and documentation.
• Communicate directly with clients and engagement team members to obtain information and provide status updates.
• Apply knowledge from prior engagements to improve audit quality, efficiency, and independence.
• Use firm technology and audit tools effectively to complete assignments.
• Take ownership of assigned responsibilities and manage deadlines.
• Actively engage with Learning & Development dashboards to track progress and develop technical knowledge.
• Attend Level 10 meetings and participate in quarterly Rocks.
• Participate in Continuing Professional Education (CPE) and firm training.
• Contribute to a positive, team-oriented environment and uphold Core Values.
