Electra Aero, a fast-growing aerospace startup in Manassas, VA, is seeking a Staff Accountant to manage expense reports, corporate card reconciliation, and AP support. This hands-on role builds a strong foundation across operational accounting in a high-growth environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5+ years of accounting or bookkeeping experience.
• Experience processing expense reports and/or accounts payable transactions.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and adaptable to new systems.
• Clear communication with employees and vendors.
• Permanent US work authorization.

Responsibilities

• Review, process, and audit employee expense reports for policy compliance and proper coding.
• Reconcile corporate credit card statements and follow up on receipts.
• Handle accounts payable processes: vendor invoices, coding, approvals.
• Prepare payments (ACH, wire, check) and support weekly disbursements.
• Support month-end close, balance sheet reconciliations, and documentation.
• Assist with data entry and reconcile in the accounting system.
• Contribute to process improvements and leverage AI in accounting tasks.
