PeopleConnect Staffing seeks a hands-on Staff Accountant for a full-time, onsite role in Bethlehem, PA. The position supports the full accounting cycle, including financial reporting, budgeting, GL reconciliations, and government-contract accounting for a growing small business.

US citizens only. The role requires a Bachelor’s in Accounting and at least four years of progressive accounting experience; CPA track or MBA is a plus.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required; MBA, Master's degree, or CPA track a plus.
• Minimum 4 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Public accounting experience preferred; forensic accounting a plus.
• Experience preparing and analyzing financial statements and managing small/mid-sized engagements.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, GL, reconciliations, reporting and analysis.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and accounting software.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities in a small organization.
• Direct government-contract accounting experience desirable; capable of learning regulatory requirements.

Responsabilidades

• Maintain accounting records and support monthly and year-end closing activities.
• Prepare and analyze income statements, balance sheets, cash flows, and schedules.
• Perform bank, credit card, balance sheet, and general ledger reconciliations.
• Prepare and post journal entries with complete supporting documentation.
• Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoicing, collections and expense reporting.
• Prepare budgets, forecasts, cash flow analyses, and management reports.
• Develop detailed financial analyses, schedules, and workpapers using Excel.
• Investigate discrepancies and conduct financial research as needed.
