Job summary

Goodwin seeks a Staff Accountant to join the Global Operations Team in Boston. The role covers day-to-day GL accounting, month-end close, bank reconciliations, budgeting support, and financial reporting. You will collaborate across departments to ensure accurate, timely information and opportunities to improve processes.

The position emphasizes process improvement, control documentation, and supporting year-end audits, with a focus on international transactions and multi-currency banking.

Qualifications

• Experience in fast-paced customer service environment.
• Ability to manage a high volume of tasks with attention to detail.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Ability to communicate professionally at all levels of the firm.
• Knowledge of internal controls and process improvement encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Substantiate financial transactions with proper approvals and documentation.
• Support monthly close, investigate variances, and ensure timely completion.
• Prepare and reconcile monthly bank and general ledger accounts.
• Assist budgeting and reforecasting for accounts owned by Accounting.
• Prepare journal entries and assist with statutory book trial balance.
• Contribute to internal financial reporting and analytics as needed.
• Support Treasury and Accounts Payable with banking transactions across currencies.
