Bachem Americas in Torrance, CA is seeking a Staff Accountant to support the Global Function in the Finance department. You will process, analyze, reconcile and report transactions across accounting functions.

Key responsibilities include consolidating financial data, reconciling ledgers, journal entries, monthly close and year-end with auditors. The role requires 2+ years in accounting, strong GAAP knowledge, and excellent communication in a fast-paced environment.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in accounting/finance.
• Excellent technological and analytical skills.
• Solid knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic computer knowledge: Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
• Ability to organize, multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Proactive and solution-focused communication with management.
• Detail oriented with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve problems.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Knowledge of IFRS (preferred).
• SAP experience (preferred).
• Previous public accounting experience (preferred).
• Manufacturing and/or life science experience (preferred).

Responsabilidades

• Accumulate and consolidate all financial data for accurate accounting of results.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts (bank, prepaid, inventory, fixed asset, payables).
• Resolve discrepancies and prepare journal entries.
• Perform financial modeling and analysis.
• Active participation in the monthly close.
• Prepare monthly financial statements and managerial reports.
• Active participation in year-end close with external auditors.
• Prepare compliance and regulatory work papers (income tax, sales tax).
