Job summary

First Temporary, LLC in Naperville, IL seeks a staff-level accountant to support the financial close process. You will prepare GAAP financial statements, journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting packages, and monitor cash flow.

Reinsurance accounting and audit support are also part of the role. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is highly preferred; 3+ years of Property & Casualty accounting experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Prepare GAAP financial statements, reporting packages, journals, supporting schedules and analysis for closing.
• Assist in reinsurance accounting, reconciliation and reporting.
• Ensure timely, accurate account reconciliations and resolve reconciling items.
• 3+ years of Property & Casualty insurance accounting experience preferred.
• Strong Excel skills and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Prepare GAAP financial statements and reporting packages with journals and schedules.
• Prepare journal entries and supporting schedules and analysis for close.
• Conduct reconciliations and monitor cash flow as assigned.
• Assist internal and external audits/examinations.
