Job summary

T E C Industrial Inc in Salem, Oregon, is seeking a Staff Accountant to maintain financial records, post journal entries, perform reconciliations, and support month-end and year-end closes, GAAP compliance, and internal controls.

This full-time role runs Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm with a 30-minute lunch, working with Accounting, Payroll, HR, and Leadership teams to deliver accurate financial information.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration or equivalent.
• 2–4 years of progressively responsible accounting experience.
• Working knowledge of GAAP.
• Experience with account reconciliations, journal entries, and financial reporting.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency with Microsoft 365.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and post recurring, standard, and adjusting journal entries.
• Complete monthly account reconciliations and assist with month-end and year-end close.
• Prepare recurring financial reports and supporting schedules.
• Research and resolve discrepancies identified during reconciliations and close.
• Reconcile and audit company credit card transactions.
• Assist with budgeting, reporting, and variance analysis.
• Assist with tax filing preparation and provide schedules for filings and audits.
• Assist with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable as needed.
• Maintain accurate accounting records and GAAP compliance.
• Maintain accounting policies and documentation.
• Maintain confidential financial information with discretion.
• Maintain organized electronic and physical records per retention rules.
• Support other duties to help department objectives.
