Made in Oregon is seeking a Staff Accountant to maintain accurate financial records for our retail operations. You will handle daily bank reconciliations, post journal entries, and keep the general ledger up to date to support accurate reporting.

This on-site, part-time role requires a Bachelor's in accounting and solid Excel and accounting software skills. You will collaborate with teams, assist with month-end close, and help ensure compliance with accounting principles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Proven experience in bank reconciliation and general ledger accounting.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
• Proficiency in preparing journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Experience with accounting software and Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy of cash balances.
• Prepare and post journal entries related to various accounting transactions.
• Maintain and reconcile the general ledger accounts, including balance sheet accounts.
• Analyze account activity and investigate discrepancies to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Support month-end and year-end closing processes by preparing necessary schedules and documentation.
• Assist with job costing and inventory accounting to track retail operations expenses.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather financial data and support audits.
