First PREMIER Bank and PREMIER Bankcard in Sioux Falls, SD, is seeking a Staff Accountant to prepare journal entries and reconcile general ledger and deposit accounts. You will research questions, interpret data, and contribute to monthly reporting.

Ideal candidates have an understanding of GAAP, strong Excel skills, and the ability to work independently to meet deadlines. An associate degree in accounting or related experience in a financial institution is preferred.

Qualifikationen

• Understanding of GAAP principles and their application.
• Ability to calculate, post and reconcile accounting figures and records.
• High accuracy and attention to detail in financial data.
• Ability to work independently and meet daily, weekly and monthly deadlines.
• Associate’s degree in accounting or 3 years’ experience in a financial institution preferred.

Aufgaben

• Prepare daily credit card settlement journal entries and reconcilements.
• Maintain monthly fixed assets (disposals and capitalization).
• Prepare and distribute monthly financial reporting packages.
• Review and approve expense reports.
• Serve as back up for research and approval of supplier invoices.
• Contribute to development and delivery of departmental policies and guidelines.
