Job summary

First PREMIER Bank and PREMIER Bankcard in Sioux Falls, SD, is seeking a detail-oriented accounting professional to prepare journal entries for the credit card portfolio, reconcile general ledger and deposits, and support monthly financial reporting.

The role requires an Associate’s degree in accounting and 3 years of experience in a financial institution, with strong Excel skills. You will collaborate across finance functions and ensure accuracy in all postings and reconciliations.

Qualifications

• Understanding of GAAP and financial statement processes.
• Ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and records.
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail in daily tasks.
• Ability to work independently and meet daily, weekly and monthly deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare daily credit card settlement journal entries, settlement runs, wire transfers and reconciliations.
• Maintain monthly fixed assets (disposals and capitalization).
• Prepare and distribute monthly financial reporting packages.
• Review and approve expense reports.
• Serve as back up for research and approval of supplier invoices.
• Contribute to the development and delivery of departmental policies, guidelines and protocols.
