Job summary

Achilles USA, located in Everett, WA, is seeking a dynamic Staff Accountant to join our finance team. The role focuses on applying GAAP to analyze financial information and prepare reports by auditing costs, inventories, fixed assets, and the general ledger.

The successful candidate will help establish and document accounting controls. The position requires 2-3 years of progressive accounting experience, strong GAAP knowledge, and intermediate Excel skills.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Accounting or Business required.
• 2-3 years of progressive accounting experience required.
• Strong understanding of GAAP principles required.
• Excel intermediate level (pivot table, v-lookup, basic formulas) required.
• Experience with accounting software required.

Responsibilities

• Review financial documents for accuracy and authenticity.
• Analyze, classify and record financial transactions.
• Prepare reports on profits, losses, inventories, receipts and disbursements, balance sheets and other financials.
• Participate in account analysis and management reports.
• Perform month-end reconciliations of bank statements, vendor statements and general ledger accounts.
• Provide monthly variance reports of production and perform accruals.
• Maintain fixed asset postings and depreciation for GAAP and tax purposes.
• Prepare reports for audits and assist auditors in corporate taxes.
