Job summary

Achilles USA in Everett, WA is seeking a Staff Accountant to join our finance team in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. You will apply GAAP to analyze financial information, maintain the general ledger, perform month-end close, and prepare reports for audits and management.

A BA/BS in Accounting or Business and 2–3 years of progressive accounting experience are required, along with intermediate Excel skills and experience with accounting software.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Accounting or Business required.
• 2-3 years of progressive accounting experience required.
• Strong understanding of GAAP principles required.

Responsibilities

• Review financial documents for accuracy and authenticity.
• Analyzes, classifies and records financial transactions.
• Prepare reports regarding profits and losses, inventories, receipts and disbursements, balance sheets and other reports.
• Participate in account analysis and management reports.
• Performs month end reconciliation of bank statements, vendor statements and general ledger accounts and perform appropriate accruals.
• Provides monthly variance reports of production and perform appropriate accruals.
• Maintains fixed asset postings, calculate and post depreciation to the general ledger and for tax purposes.
• Prepares reports for audits and works with the auditors in the preparation of the corporate taxes. Audits contracts, orders and vouchers and prepares reports to substantiate individual transactions prior to settlement.
• Establishes, modifies, documents and coordinates implementation of accounting and accounting control procedures.
• Various other duties as assigned.
