Job summary

GATE is seeking a Staff Accountant to support the Accounting and Finance department with accurate and timely financial records. The role requires a bachelor’s in accounting (preferred) and at least 1 year of accounting experience, with strong GAAP knowledge and Excel skills.

Responsibilities include journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, OpenAir project setup, payroll processing, month-end close documentation, and accurate invoicing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting preferred
• Minimum 1 year accounting experience
• Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of GAAP

• Experience with month-end close activities and journal entries
• Ability to prepare and enter journal entries for GATE and affiliates
• Prepare reconciliations of balance sheet accounts
• Knowledge of accurate invoicing processes and billing portals

Responsibilities

• Prepare and enter journal entries for GATE and affiliated companies as part of the month-end close
• Analyze and reconcile balance sheet accounts
• Assist with the setup of OpenAir projects
• Process payroll using an outside payroll service
• Maintain a file of month-end close-related documentation
• Become familiar with customer billing processes and use billing portals
• Create and submit accurate and timely invoices to customers
• Adhere to GATE policies and procedures in a positive manner
• Contribute to a positive and professional culture within GATE
• Other duties as assigned
