Job summary

Tricension is seeking an Staff Accountant to handle full-cycle accounting, including AR/AP and general ledger tasks. You will work across invoicing, collections, vendor bills, journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close, collaborating with operations and delivery teams to resolve issues and support an ERPNext conversion.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
• 1–2 years of accounting experience.
• Hands-on accounts receivable experience, including invoicing, payment application, aging, collections, and/or billing issue resolution.
• Strong accounting fundamentals, including working knowledge of U.S. GAAP and double-entry accounting.
• Hands-on exposure to additional accounting areas such as accounts payable, journal entries, reconciliations, general ledger activity, or month-end close.
• Professional written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to handle confidential financial information with discretion.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with strong Excel skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and issue customer invoices accurately and on schedule.
• Maintain customer master data, billing terms, and contact records.
• Apply customer payments and resolve unapplied cash and short pays.
• Own AR aging and drive at-risk balances to resolution.
• Perform collections calls and follow-up on past-due accounts.
• Process vendor invoices end to end and perform three-way matching where applicable.
• Prepare payment runs and maintain supporting documentation.
• Reconcile vendor statements and respond to inquiries.
• Post recurring, standard, and adjusting journal entries with supporting documents.
• Research and respond to GL inquiries and investigate discrepancies.
• Assist with ERPNext system conversion and documentation.
