Job description

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytically driven Senior Accountant / FP&A Associate to join our finance team. In this dual-function role, you will own day-to-day accounting operations while also contributing to financial planning, forecasting, and strategic analysis. You will play a key role in ensuring financial accuracy and providing data-driven insights to support business decisions in a fast-paced cybersecurity environment.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting & General Ledger

• Maintain and reconcile the general ledger using QuickBooks, ensuring accuracy and completeness of all entries
• Record and review journal entries, accruals, and month-end adjustments
• Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, including vendor payments and customer invoicing
• Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual close procedures in accordance with GAAP
• Prepare and review bank reconciliations and balance sheet account reconciliations
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and regulatory requirements

Financial Planning & Analysis

• Assist in the development of annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and long-range financial plans
• Analyze variances between actuals and budget/forecast, providing clear narratives on key drivers
• Build and maintain financial models to support business planning, scenario analysis, and decision-making
• Prepare management reporting packages, KPI dashboards, and ad hoc financial analyses for leadership
• Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Operations, and Product teams to gather data and deliver meaningful financial insights
• Support month-end close commentary and executive presentations

Qualifications

Required

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 3-5 years of progressive accounting and/or FP&A experience
• Proficiency in QuickBooks (Desktop or Online); experience managing a full-cycle general ledger
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, financial modeling)
• Excellent attention to detail, analytical mindset, and ability to manage competing priorities
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to present financial data to non-finance stakeholders

Preferred

• CPA license or active CPA candidate strongly preferred
• Experience in cybersecurity, SaaS, or technology sectors
• Experience supporting audits (internal or external)
