Job summary

HFM is a growing full-service accounting and advisory firm serving clients throughout Southern New England. Asa Staff Accountant, you will prepare Federal and State tax returns for individuals, trusts, estates, businesses, and not-for-profits, deliver accounting and tax services tailored to small businesses and individual clients.

You will support day-to-day activities of attest engagements, build client relationships as a responsive, knowledgeable contact, and grow your technical skills through

Qualifications

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Possess analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time and prioritize engagements.
• CPA not required however 150 credit hour eligibility and pursuit of certification is encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Prepare Federal and State tax returns for individuals, trusts, estates, businesses, and not-for-profits.
• Deliver accounting and tax services tailored to small businesses and individual clients.
• Support the day-to-day activities of attest engagements including preparing financial reports for clients across a range of industries.
• Build client relationships by serving as a responsive, knowledgeable point of contact.
• Grow your technical skills through hands-on experience and ongoing professional development.
