Job summary

Keystone Powdered Metal Company, a Sumitomo Electric Group company, is seeking a Staff Accountant for its St. Marys, PA location. You will report to the Accounting Manager and work on fixed assets, CIP, month-end close, budgeting, and tax support.

The role requires solid knowledge of GAAP, fixed assets, and MS Excel, with responsibilities including asset tracking, depreciation, asset capitalizations, and project costing. Strong attention to detail is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in business administration, preferably with a concentration in accounting.
• Knowledge of GAAP, especially in fixed assets.
• Knowledge of Accounting Software and skilled in MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.

Responsibilities

• Fixed Asset Accounting: manage fixed assets, tracking, reporting and compliance.
• CIP: track costs, capitalize when appropriate and classify expenditures.
• Month-End Close: post monthly journal entries and analyze accounts.
• Budgeting & Forecasting: assist in annual budget preparation.
• Tax Preparation Support: assist in annual NC property valuation for taxes.
• Project Tracking: manage tooling projects accounting and deferments.
• Physical Inventory: assist planning and execution of inventories.
• Reporting: prepare and analyze daily and weekly reports.
