Qualifications

• Must have 2+ years of experience with financial accounting including general ledger and labor analysis.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and manage fixed asset records, including depreciation schedules, within accounting software systems.
• Analyze cost and expense accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness; investigate discrepancies, perform variance analysis, and provide actionable recommendations to support profitability.
• Prepare and process sales commission reports by tracking orders, invoices, and payments; generate commission invoices and communicate details to sales representatives.
• Prepare journal entries and month-end accruals; reconcile general ledger accounts to supporting documentation to ensure financial accuracy.
• Monitor and communicate insurance requirements to vendors, customers, and plant personnel to ensure compliance.
• Support compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations, including required reporting.
• Assist with month-end close processes, as well as forecasting and budgeting for location and intercompany accounts.
• Provide cross-functional support within the accounting department to ensure operational continuity.
• Participate in special projects and ad hoc financial analyses as assigned.
