Addison Group is seeking a Staff Accountant for a permanent hybrid role in Tysons, VA. The position offers a base salary of $72,000–$75,000 with bonus eligibility and a Monday–Thursday onsite schedule with Friday remote work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• 1+ years of accounting experience required.
• 2–3 years of general ledger accounting experience preferred.
• Experience with account reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close.
• Strong Excel skills with lookups, pivot tables, and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Review contracts and invoices to determine GAAP-compliant treatment.
• Code capital expenditure invoices in the accounting system.
• Maintain capital projects from inception to capitalization.
• Monitor CIP accounts and capitalize completed projects timely.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly fixed asset reporting.
• Prepare journal entries and reconciliations.
• Perform CAPEX accrual analyses and depreciation forecasting.
• Assist with fixed asset rollforwards.
• Investigate discrepancies and root causes; recommend correct accounting.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on asset/project questions.
• Ensure accurate and timely project/capital reporting.
