The successful candidate will handle variance analyses, CAPEX, WIP controls, and asset lifecycle management, working with high-value vendors and contributing to month-end close.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a highly quantitative field.
• 1 to 3 years of experience in corporate accounting, FP&A, project accounting, or fixed asset management.
• Strong working knowledge of GAAP, fixed asset accounting, capital vs. expense rules, and advanced GL structures.
• NetSuite experience strongly preferred.
• Advanced Excel skills (XLOOKUP, Index/Match, nested formulas, dynamic pivot tables, financial modeling). This is a must-have.
• Excellent communication skills, with the financial acumen to present data clearly to internal leaders and constructively challenge over-budget spend or project overruns.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly budget-to-actual variance analyses for department heads and project leaders.
• Track capital expenditures against project budgets, maintain WIP controls, and manage asset lifecycle including depreciation.
• Serve as primary financial contact for high-value vendors and construction partners, handling invoice reconciliation and contract compliance.
• Conduct ad hoc analysis of corporate spend and vendor pricing trends to uncover cost-saving opportunities.
• Review transaction workflows to ensure accurate GL accounts and project/task coding in the ERP.
• Prepare capital accruals, amortization schedules, journal entries, and balance sheet reconciliations for month-end close.
• Assist with AR aging research, revenue reconciliation, and billing analysis to support cash flow tracking.
