Job summary

COPE Health Solutions is seeking a junior-level Staff Accountant in Los Angeles, CA. The role focuses on owning projects within the accounting function, improving processes, and handling confidential information with sound judgment.

The successful candidate will develop expertise across invoicing, reconciliations, general ledger work, and audit coordination while contributing to the team’s efficiency and internal controls. This is a full-time exempt position reporting to the Controller.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in Accounting/Finance or related field.
• 2–3 years of corporate accounting experience.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Detail-driven with ability to prioritize workflow and handle multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Manage invoicing and accounts receivable to ensure timely billing and collections.
• Prepare monthly reconciliations for bank and credit card accounts; investigate discrepancies.
• Prepare monthly general ledger reconciliations and journal entries for review by Controller.
• Manage employee and independent contractor commissions; support annual financial statement audit.
