Responsibilities

• Perform general accounting duties, including analyzing, researching, and preparing financial information and reports to meet daily and monthly deadlines.
• Reconcile and update inventory volumes daily and resolve discrepancies.
• Generate customer invoices and supporting documentation.
• Settle all third‑party transactions per contractual terms.
• Liaise with counterparties to resolve discrepancies with thorough explanations.
• Reconcile and close inventory at month end.
• Develop solutions to improve financial and operational processes for inventory functions, policies and procedures.
• Carry out ad hoc reports/assignments as needed.
• Develop and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external counterparties.
• Assist in developing department plans, goals, and deadlines.

The Staff Accountant is responsible for performing general accounting duties, which includes, analyzing, researching, and preparing financial information and reports to meet specific daily and monthly deadlines.

What You'll Do

• Accountable for the accurate and timely completion of Settlement activities on a daily basis:
• Reconciles and updates inventory volumes, daily; work to resolve volume discrepancies
• Generates customer invoices and supporting documentation
• Settles all third party transactions per contractual terms
• Liaises with counterparties should any discrepancies occur; provide thorough explanations and seek resolutions to the discrepancies.
• Timely and accurately reconciling and closing inventory at month end.
• Ensures inventory transactions are accurately reflected in the financial records.
• Assists in developing solutions to financial and operational processes for inventory functions, policies and procedures.
• Carries out ad hoc reports/assignments as needed.
• Develops and maintains strong working relationships with internal and external counterparties.
• Assists in the development and maintenance of department wide plans, goals, and deadlines.

What We're Looking For

• 0-3 years accounting experience
• Bachelor's degree from four-year College or University with degree in Accounting
• Strong understanding and working knowledge of US GAAP
• Advanced experience using MS Office Suite, particularly Excel
