Job summary

QAP is seeking a Staff Accountant to join our Anchorage team. This position is ideal for a recent graduate or early-career accounting professional looking to build a strong foundation in general accounting while working under the supervision of the Regional Controller.

This position is designed to help build technical expertise in areas such as financial reporting, tax compliance, cash-related accounting activities, account reconciliations, and recurring journal entries.

Responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries and maintain general ledger accounts.
• Investigate and resolve errors and inconsistencies in accounting records.
• Prepare required reports for regulatory agencies (sales/use tax, highway use tax).
• Prepare, review and analyze monthly financial reports.
• Develop business partnership skills through interaction with operations teams.
• Work in an office-based environment to strengthen finance-operations collaboration.
