Job summary

DuBois Chemicals is seeking a Staff Accountant to maintain financial records for US operations, perform and automate reconciliations, drive monthly closing, and support process improvements. Qualifications

• 2-5 years of accounting experience.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• ERP system experience.
• Working knowledge of GAAP.
• Strong analytical skills & ability to work with large data sets.
• Good problem-solving and time management skills.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented.
• Prior experience with BI/Analytics tools helpful but not required (e.g. Alteryx, DataIku, Power BI, Spotfire, Tableau, Qlik, etc.)

Responsibilities

• Maintaining financial reports, records, and general ledger accounts.
• Preparing journal entries, analyses, and assisting with monthly close processes.
• Performing & automating monthly balance sheet & bank account reconciliations.
• In charge of reconciling Inventory and working with Supply Chain team to understand costs.
• Meeting processing and reporting deadlines.
• Responding to information requests, reviewing financial statements, and assisting with audits.
• Ensuring compliance with GAAP.
• Assisting the Controller and CFO as needed.
• Assisting with setting up ERP account structures.
