Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required.
• 0–2 years of accounting experience; public accounting, auditing, or internship experience is a plus.
• Foundational knowledge of GAAP, reconciliations, balance sheet accounts, fixed assets, and depreciation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP operations.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to learn new accounting processes and work collaboratively.

Responsibilities

• Assist with monthly financial close procedures, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
• Review and process credit card transactions, AMEX expenses, marketing invoices, and departmental expenses.
• Assist with tracking accrued liabilities, expense accounts, and other balance sheet accounts.
• Support the preparation and presentation of budget reports and financial analyses.
• Compile financial records, schedules, and supporting documentation for audits.
• Assist with fixed asset tracking, depreciation, and other general ledger activities.
• Maintain accurate financial records in accordance with policies and internal controls.
• Collaborate with Senior Accountants on projects, reporting, and process improvements.
• Support additional accounting and finance functions as needed.

About the Role

In this role, you will work closely with Senior Accountants on monthly financial close activities, account reconciliations, expense tracking, budget reporting, and audit preparation. You will gain hands‑on experience with core accounting processes while developing your technical skills in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with monthly financial close procedures, journal entries, and account reconciliations.

• Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Internship or other hands‑on experience in accounting, finance, or public accounting.

• Exposure to financial audits, audit documentation, and audit preparation.

• Familiarity with ERP systems or accounting software.
