Job summary

Mint Cannabis, located in Tempe, AZ, seeks a Staff Accountant to maintain accurate financial records, process transactions, and ensure GAAP compliance. The ideal candidate has 1+ year of accounting experience with a degree or 3+ years without a degree, strong Excel/Google Sheets, and familiarity with accounting software.

Qualifications

Staff Accountant

Location: Tempe, AZ
FSLA Status: Non-Exempt
Pay Range: $60,000 - $66,000 DOE

Position Summary:

The Staff Accountant plays a key role in supporting Mint Cannabis’s finance operations by maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles. This position works closely with the Senior Accountant and Controller to assist with general ledger activity, reconciliations, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, regulated industry.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain and update accounting records, files, and documentation.

• Must be at least 21 years of age and eligible to work in the cannabis industry.

Education and Certifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
• Relevant experience may be considered instead of a degree.
