Job summary

Vosges Haut Chocolat is seeking an experienced Accounting professional in Chicago to support daily and weekly accounting operations, including vendor invoicing, cash application, and bank reconciliations. You will manage revenue-related entries across e-commerce and retail platforms, ensuring accurate postings and compliant close processes.

Qualifications

• Three to five years of progressive accounting experience, including monthly close.
• Proficiency in accrual accounting, journal entries, reconciliations, and period cutoffs.
• Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills, with pivot tables, lookups, and data cleanup.
• Experience with QuickBooks Online or similar accounting systems.
• Clear written and verbal communication and ability to work with controllers and cross-functional partners.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Process vendor invoices, match to PO/docs, and maintain payment status.
• Apply customer payments, review aging and deductions, research unapplied cash.
• Maintain bank/credit card activity; respond to vendor inquiries and clear exceptions.
• Prepare weekly bank and card reconciliations; document unusual items for Controller.
• Update cash-flow workbook with actual activity and justify variances.
• Prepare month-end journal entries, reconciliations, and close schedules.
• Reconciling multiple systems and ensuring source documentation supports balances.
