Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Staff Accountant in Millersville, MD to support month-end close, financial reporting, and internal controls. You will work closely with the Controller, gain exposure to reconciliations and audits, and help improve accounting processes as the company scales.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance with 0–3 years of experience, strong analytical skills, and a willingness to learn new systems. A collaborative, growth-minded team environment awaits.

Qualifications

• Recent graduates or candidates with 0–3 years of accounting experience welcome.
• Solid foundation in accounting principles and GAAP.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Comfortable learning new accounting systems and processes.
• Effective written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Assist with month-end close, including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Prepare bank and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Support financial reporting and variance analysis.
• Assist with annual audit preparation and documentation.
• Gain exposure to percentage-of-completion accounting and project-related reporting.
• Work across multiple accounting systems to extract information and prepare reports.
• Collaborate with Controller to improve processes and reporting efficiency.
• Handle special projects as the organization grows.
