AppleOne Employment Services is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant for a direct-hire role with a consumer packaged goods manufacturer in the 93636 area. This position targets professionals with 3+ years of hands-on accounting experience who value accurate financial reporting and a well-organized operation.

The Staff Accountant will support accounts payable, general ledger activity, reconciliations, month-end close, and audit support in a collaborative, growth-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 3+ years of accounting experience.
• Strong accounts payable, reconciliations, journal entries, and general accounting procedures.
• High proficiency with Microsoft Excel and complex formulas.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced office.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full accounts payable cycle, including invoice review, documentation, coding, approvals, and payment processing.
• Maintain vendor accounts, including new vendor setup, W-9 documentation, reconciliations, and statement reviews.
• Support general ledger activity, bank reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end and year-end close processes.
• Research and resolve invoice discrepancies while responding to vendor inquiries.
• Assist with internal and external audit requests by preparing documentation and schedules.
• Cross-train on accounting processes and contribute to special projects and additional duties as assigned.
