Canteen, a Compass Group company, is hiring a Staff Accountant to provide accounting and operational support across our three lines of business: Vending, Market, and Office Coffee Service (OCS). This role is ideal for a detail‑oriented, organized professional eager to grow in an operations‑focused environment.

The successful candidate will work independently, manage priorities, and take ownership of responsibilities, with opportunities for growth as you solve problems and expand your scope.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field; equivalent experience considered.
• 1–3 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience required.
• Experience with reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close activities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including lookup formulas and pivot tables.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and ability to meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills and willingness to learn and grow.

Responsibilities

• Prepare weekly and monthly reports
• Assist with month-end close activities, including journal entries and reconciliations
