Job summary

Madison Insurance Group is seeking a meticulous Staff Accountant to support financial operations at our Tennessee office. You will maintain ledgers, prepare journal entries, and assist with month-end close, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

Qualifications

Previous accounting experience required; insurance industry experience is a plus.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and reconciliation procedures.
Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

Maintain accurate financial records and general ledger accounts.
Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and monthly financial reports.
Assist with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash management.
Reconcile bank accounts and investigate discrepancies.
Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
