Starwood Hotels is seeking a Staff Accountant to support the Finance and Accounting team in overseeing accounts receivable, end-of-month entries and P&L closings. This role demands accuracy, discipline, and a proactive approach to financial processes.

You will handle daily cash reports, assist with invoice processing and PO matching, monitor taxes, and contribute to a controlled environment that safeguards assets. 2–4 years of relevant experience and a detail-oriented mindset are valued.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of experience in a similar function.
• A post-secondary diploma or degree would be a plus.
• Willingness to meet the demands of a 24-hour operation.
• Team player, hard worker, multi-tasker and detail oriented.

Responsibilities

• Oversee AR, EOM entries, and P&L closings.
• Audit Exec Checks, Petty Cash, and Adjustment reports daily.
• Prepare daily consolidated deposits of cash and assist with invoice processing and PO matching.
• Analyze information and evaluate results to choose the best solution.
• Monitor taxes to ensure they are current, collected and accrued.
