Job summary

XSE Group in Middletown, CT is seeking a Staff Accountant to maintain accurate financial records and support close processes. This onsite role requires attention to detail and strong accounting fundamentals, with collaboration across the Controller and senior leadership.

You will prepare journal entries, perform reconciliations, and assist with month-end and year-end tasks while helping improve processes in a fast-moving environment. Located in Middletown, standard hours are 8 am–5 pm EST.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field is required.
• 2–5 years of accounting experience preferred in corporate or multi-entity environment.
• Solid understanding of GAAP and core accounting principles.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries including accruals and depreciation.
• Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations with documentation.
• Assist with month-end and year-end close tasks and reporting.
• Support financial statement preparation and internal reporting.
• Collaborate with internal departments to resolve discrepancies.
