Job summary

The Alliance Group is seeking a Staff Accountant to join our accounting and finance team in Delray Beach. The ideal candidate will support day-to-day accounting operations, month-end close, and financial reporting, maintaining accuracy amid multiple priorities and deadlines.

You will prepare journal entries, perform reconciliations, and contribute to monthly statements and forecasts, while collaborating with other departments to resolve issues and support audits and management reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 1-3+ years of relevant accounting experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of general accounting principles and the general ledger.
• Experience with month-end close and account reconciliations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, PivotTables, and data analysis.
• Experience with ERP or accounting software preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes
• Prepare and post journal entries to the general ledger
• Perform balance sheet and bank account reconciliations
• Maintain supporting schedules for various general ledger accounts
• Assist with the preparation of monthly financial statements and management reports
• Support budgeting and forecasting activities
• Assist with external audit requests and preparation of supporting documentation
• Collaborate with other departments to resolve accounting and financial reporting issues
• Perform additional accounting and finance projects as assigned
