Rug Doctor by BISSELL is seeking a Staff Accountant in Plano, TX to support month-end close and financial reporting. You will work within the Finance team to ensure accuracy and GAAP compliance, collaborating with cross-functional and remote teams.

The role focuses on journal entries, reconciliations, and financial analysis, requiring meticulous attention to detail and strong communication. In-person, full-time position with growth opportunities within the accounting function.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
• Experience in general ledger accounting, account reconciliations and financial reporting processes is essential.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and ERP/accounting systems; solid knowledge of GAAP; strong verbal and written communication; ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Execute assigned month-end close activities, including preparing and posting journal entries.
• Complete monthly balance sheet account reconciliations and investigate variances.
• Evaluate fluctuations in balance sheet and income statement accounts from period to period.
• Maintain the general ledger and support opening/closing of accounting periods.
• Review financial information for proper classification and compliance with accounting standards; participate in process improvements.
