Job summary

Leoforce is seeking a Staff Accountant to join our growing finance team in Albuquerque. This entry-level role offers hands-on experience with month-end close, journal entries, and reconciliations while building GAAP and financial reporting knowledge.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, maintain accurate records, and support audits. The salary range is $50,000 to $60,000 per year, with health/dental/vision insurance and a 401(k) plan.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of accounting experience.
• Solid understanding of GAAP.
• Experience with general ledger and reconciliations.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks or Sage.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
• Prepare and post journal entries to the general ledger
• Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
• Support financial reporting and analysis
• Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
• Assist with audits and ensure compliance with internal controls
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams as needed
