Northwest Ambulance is building its accounting department. This role owns accounts payable end-to-end, maintains the vendor file, and codes card transactions. You will also assist with revenue reconciliation, refunds, and month-end close.

You'll train to run payroll as backup and support the close, with on-site duties at the Everett office. This is a growth position in a growing EMS provider with a strong emphasis on internal controls.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in accounting (required).
• 2+ years of full-cycle accounts payable or general accounting experience.
• Ability to reconcile an account to an independent source and trace a difference to its cause without being handed the answer.
• Solid Excel skills, including lookups and pivot tables, with thousands of rows of data.
• QuickBooks experience, or ability to pick up a new accounting system quickly.
• Accuracy with volume: handles several hundred documents a month.
• Habit of asking when something looks wrong rather than coding it and moving on.
• Willingness to be trained to run payroll and to be backup.
• Discretion with confidential employee, patient, and financial information.

Responsabilités

• End-to-end accounts payable processing and coding against COA and department.
• Maintain vendor records including W-9s and payment terms; verify details.
• Code ~150 company card transactions monthly and reconcile statements.
• Perform revenue reconciliation and prepare AR rollforward and aging.
• Process refunds and identify credit balances; track deadlines.
• Age outstanding checks and close reconciling items with causes.
• Train to run payroll in ADP and serve as payroll backup.
• Support month-end close with reconciliations and journal entries.
